Gracie Mukayess
Owner & Instructor
Gracie, a native to Colorado, has been teaching barre since 2019. Before co-owning Pivot Barre, she spent four years as an instructor at The Bar Method, where she refined her teaching style and developed a strong appreciation for precise technique. She is a dedicated leader within the studio and takes pleasure in actively participating in the local community.
“Barre is my sanctuary where I discover tranquility and form cherished friendships.”
When she is not instructing barre classes, Gracie loves spending quality time with her family. Her husband, daughter, twin boys, and three dogs contribute to a bustling yet immensely joyful life.
Marz
Manager
Marz came to Denver from Albuquerque in 2021 and joined Pivot in 2024. A 2025 DU graduate setting sights on law school, she loves the welcoming environment and unwinding with a glass of wine.
Lindy
Instructor
A technical editor by day, Lindy brings precision to the barre, encouraging students to meet and exceed their personal goals.
Sarah S
Instructor
With over 10 years of experience, Sarah brings deep knowledge, energy, and encouragement to every class.
Rachael
Instructor
Michayla
Instructor
Originally from Pennsylvania, Michayla is a nurse who believes in the healing power of movement. For her, barre is a holistic practice that goes beyond building strength—it’s about fostering joint safety, flexibility, and mental clarity. After seeing how barre transformed her own fitness and mindset, she became an instructor to encourage others that they, too, “can do hard things.” When she’s not at the studio or the hospital, you’ll find her hiking, traveling, practicing the piano, or perfecting her sourdough bread.
Merrill
Instructor
Originally from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Merrill rediscovered her passion for fitness right here at Pivot. Her journey from student to instructor was fueled by a desire to share the same energized, strong, and supported feeling she gets from every class. Outside the studio, Merrill works as a house manager and personal assistant while pursuing a career shift into the world of creative digital marketing. A true mountain girl at heart, you can find her skiing, hiking, or fishing when she isn’t busy painting, making jewelry, or exploring local farmers’ markets.
Erin
Instructor
Originally from Pueblo, Colorado, Erin was drawn to barre for the positive, encouraging environment it creates for everyone who walks through the door. A recruiter and talent coordinator at Lockheed Martin by day, she loves how barre brings people together to build strength that lasts far beyond the studio. For Erin, the true magic of barre lies in the daily benefits—like improved posture and mobility—that make life outside the studio even better. When she isn’t teaching or helping others build their careers, you can find her hanging out with her cat, Rito, or exploring new coffee shops and restaurants around the globe.
Nicole
Instructor
A Chicago native who found her home in Denver six years ago, Nicole is driven by a deep love for movement and community. To her, barre is far more than just a workout—it’s a graceful, mind-body practice that builds strength for a lifetime. Nicole brings the same passion for growth to the studio that she does to her career as a 5th-grade teacher and Instructional Coach. When she isn’t empowering students or perfecting her barre technique, you’ll find her exploring the Denver Botanic Gardens, testing out new recipes, or dancing the night away.
Maggie
Instructor
Maggie’s background in Irish dance brings strong musicality and choreography to every class she teaches.
Alissah
Instructor
By day, Alissah serves as an Accounting Director, but the barre studio is where she finds her creative spark. Since moving to Denver over seven years ago, she has fully embraced the city’s active lifestyle and vibrant community. Alissah is dedicated to helping her students feel strong, confident, and physically connected. When she isn’t teaching, you’ll likely find her enjoying the Colorado outdoors—hiking, skiing, or taking long walks with her husband and their two pups.
Tori
Instructor
Originally from Connecticut, Tori spent four years as a travel nurse before the Colorado lifestyle won her over. She brings that same adventurous spirit to her barre classes, where she loves keeping exercises fresh and challenging. For Tori, teaching is a way to dive deeper into the Pivot community and provide a workout that is never the same twice. Off the clock, she’s an outdoor lover who enjoys walking, camping, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Katie
Instructor
With over a decade of experience under her belt, Katie knows exactly how to deliver a workout that is as rewarding as it is challenging. She lives for that “sneaky hard” barre burn and loves pushing her students to find their edge. A proud Nebraska native and Husker alum, when she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her cheering loudly for Nebraska athletics.
